What is Payroll Approval Workflow?

The Payroll Approval is a helpful feature that lets your trusted team members review and give the thumbs-up to pay runs before they're finalised. Now you can have a safety net that catches any potential issues and keeps everyone in the loop about who's responsible for what.

Step-by-Step Process to Set Up Payroll Approval

  1. Go to Payroll > Settings.

  2. Click Edit next to Approval.

  3. Assign approvers in the order you want them to review the payroll:

  4. Add as many approval steps as needed.

    • The default setting requires approvals in the order sleeted, but you can uncheck this option if you prefer.

  5. Click Save and you’re all set!

Using the Approval Workflow is a Breeze

  1. Prepare your payroll just like you always do.

  2. When you’re ready, click Submit for Approval.

  3. Your designated approvers will get a friendly notification.

  4. They’ll verify all the details.

  5. Once the last approver gives the green light the pay run will be processed!
